About Dental Clinics North - Traverse City
Located at 2600 LaFranier Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686, Dental Clinics North - Traverse City operates as a dental clinic serving Traverse City in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Traverse City, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Michigan, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (866) 878-6557. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, dentalclinicsnorth.org.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 498 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded dental clinics in Traverse City.
Traverse City is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Traverse City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had polite people but they had no clue what they are doing. The three different time there and I now have so bad anxiety going to new dentist. First time in year I change my dentist to be closer to home so we didn’t have to do summer traffic and hopefully done before winter. So much for that. My three teeth were fixed all at once. Like great get it done but do it freakin right I have a crack now in my teeth and my mouth as now hurt since Monday. It is now Saturday I’m crying. But so scared to go to a dentist I really hope my old one across town will help.

The lady at the front desk that was stationed at check out, who checked us in was great! Somehow our appointment wasn’t confirmed on their side, even though it was confirmed on his Dads side. We were offered to wait to see if something opened up, and it did! We got right in. Chelsea was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! So calming and thorough, putting my grandson at ease. 5 stars!!! He didn’t see a Dr. they were busy.

I went in for tooth pain and was seen by Jessica. Unfortunately, the experience became deeply frustrating and unsettling due to what I felt was a serious lack of communication and informed consent. Near the end of the visit, Jessica stated that she was going to place a sealant to help protect my teeth. However, the procedure itself was not clearly explained to me beforehand, nor was I told exactly what material was being used. What concerned me most was that when she was specifically asked what was in the sealant before treatment, she actually stated, “I don't even know.” As a patient trying to make informed decisions about my own healthcare, hearing that from the provider applying a dental material to my teeth was extremely alarming. At that point, I was uncomfortable because I still did not fully understand what treatment was being performed or what the long-term implications were. After leaving the office, I researched the specific sealant that had been applied and learned that it releases fluoride over an extended period and generally remains bonded to the tooth for years. Regardless of others’ opinions on fluoride or sealants, this was not something I personally wanted. I inte

I had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Lu. I came in for a scheduled appointment to have my retainer removed—an appointment that was made by another dentist in the same office. When I sat down, she immediately refused, saying she “was not doing that” and repeatedly warned that it would mess up my teeth. She continued to insist that an orthodontist should be handling it and seemed visibly irritated about the situation. Another dentist had to step in and clarify that the retainer did need to be removed. Even after that, Dr. Lu questioned why she was being asked to do it and openly expressed frustration about having to proceed. Her behavior was so openly unprofessional that other staff even came by to ask if I was okay. If there were concerns about the procedure, those should have been handled professionally with staff rather than expressed to a patient in the chair. Throughout the procedure, she also did not explain what she was doing or walk me through any steps, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending her to children or patients who are nervous about dental visits, as communication and reassurance

As someone who has been genuinely traumatized by the dentist in the past, I can honestly say I had a wonderful, life-changing experience at Dental Clinics North. My hygienist, Emily, was incredibly patient and understanding of my history. When I had a concern about something we didn't see on the X-ray, she immediately brought the dentist over, who was happy to reassure me and confirm everything was accurate. Best of all, I finally had my teeth thoroughly cleaned—something I've been trying to get done for about two years. I truly don't believe any hygienist has cleaned my teeth as well as Emily did since I was about 14! After moving from Florida, I am so happy to have found a good dentist and a team that has completely eliminated my dental anxiety. Highly, highly recommend!
